Rambler. There was a time in the mid-20th century when a house like the Pool House would be referred to as a “rambler”: a long low single—story home ideal for easy and efficient living. Minimalist exterior. Simple forms. Our take on the classic rambler integrates ideas of transparency with a feature exterior wood screen dining room. This house bleeds indoor and out, with a long covered porch and huge glass walls and sliding doors. A private bedroom suite is set off to one side, and the whole “rambler” thing is put into question by the upper level guest rooms peeking out from low slung dormers. Oh — and there’s a pool.
