“A” House
An old ’70s kit A-frame house on an historic stone foundation updated and re-imagined as a modern alpine wonder pad. Jetsons, eat your heart out (Do we know of the Jetsons anymore?). The bones were simple and classic A frame, and we busted out the southern facade to take advantage of a lovely xeric garden space. The design also takes advantage of the unique form of the structure on the interior, incorporating scissor-type components and uplighting the trussed ceiling. Wood, metal, and concrete are among the natural materials employed in the design.
